See movies and series that deserve your attention in February 2023

February has barely started and we are already looking forward to the premieres of the month. With new episodes of titles already loved by the public arriving, the month also has the launch of other productions that also deserve a little space in your schedule.

Among the series highlights are the new seasons of You (Netflix), Carnival Row (Amazon Prime Video), Outer Banks and the launch of the Brazilian production holy damn (Star+).

In terms of movies, Oscar-nominated feature films are the highlights, including The Fabelmans, Triangle of Sadness, The whale. It is also worth remembering the debut of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

  • The Fabelmans (February 9th)

A personal portrait of childhood in the 20th century in America. A young man who discovers a terrifying family secret finds in cinema films the power to reach the truth of others and our own essence.

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 16th)

Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. As he tries to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he is confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again don the uniform and learn to fight alongside the Wasp, working together to uncover secrets from the past.

  • Triangle of Sadness (February 16th)

A cruise ship for the super-rich sinks, leaving the survivors, including a celebrity couple, stranded on an island.

  • The whale (February 23)

Alone, he lives daily only with guilt, for having abandoned Ellie, his now teenage daughter, who he left with his mother Mary when he fell in love with another woman. Now, he will seek to reconnect with his teenage daughter and repair his past mistakes.

  • You (Season 4) – February 9

Joe starts life over in London with the promise to bury the past and be a better person. But the road to redemption is a crooked one, and soon a new obsession emerges.

  • Three Lives – February 22

After discovering that she has identical twin sisters, a detective begins a dangerous journey to learn the truth about her past.

  • Outer Banks – February 23

The Pogues head to the Caribbean and new territories in search of adventure, but end up getting involved in the dangerous search for the legend of a lost city.

  • At Your House or Mine? – February, 10th

Despite being opposites, Debbie and Peter are great friends. They switch homes for a week, and that experience could open the door to love.

  • Re/Member – February 14th

Six students trapped in a time loop must find the body parts of an unknown victim to break this curse and end the cycle of horror.

  • harlem – Season 2 (February 3)

A group of four friends pursue their dreams together after graduating from university.

  • Somebody I Used To Know (February, 10th)

On a trip to her hometown, Ally reminisces about her ex Sean and starts to question herself about the person she has become. Things only get more confusing when she meets Cassidy, who reminds her of the person she used to be.

  • Carnival Row – Season 2 (February 17)

As a serial killer preys on mystical creatures in a dark futuristic Victorian city, a detective on the case becomes the prime suspect in the murders.

  • The Consultant (February, 24)

The boss-employee relationship pushed to the limit. With elements of suspense and humor, Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) plays the lead role and makes us think: how far will we go to progress and survive in the workplace?

  • Death Death Death

A group of young people plan a party during a hurricane at a mansion on a remote island. The celebration turns deadly when an assassin begins eliminating them one by one.

  • Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special (February 9th)

While Harley works obsessively to make sure her first Valentine’s Day with Ivy is the best one ever, Bane’s efforts to impress an unexpected date go horribly wrong. Meanwhile, after an unfortunate online encounter, Clayface indulges in some self-love.

  • Lilo, Lilo, Crocodile

The Primm family moves to New York and their son Josh struggles to adjust to his new school and new friends. Everything changes when he discovers Lilo, a singing crocodile who loves bathing, caviar and good music.

  • holy damn (February 8th)

When the wife of Reinaldo, an atheist professor, goes into a vegetative state, he takes the desperate step of putting an end to that suffering, but, by a ‘miracle’, she wakes up. Samuel (Augusto Madeira), pastor of a humble church, offers all his savings for Reinaldo to preach to his faithful, believing that he is in front of an enlightened man. On his journey as a religious leader who does not believe in God, the professor has his convictions shaken, discovering truths between heaven and the abyss.
