Second official trailer for “¡Nope!”, the new film from the director of “Huye!”

The film will reunite the director of Flees! Y Us again with Daniel Kaluyawill also have Steven Yeun (Minari)y Keke Palmer (Scream Queens). As is customary in Jordan Peele’s cinema, this will have horror and science fiction, and this week he released his second preview. Without a doubt, this will be one of the films of the year, or at least that is how it has been thought since the beginning of 2022.

In the new promo, the movie is set in a small California town and it was invaded by UFOs. The characters of Kaluuya Y Palmer, in this case as OJ Haywood and Emerald respectively, seize the opportunity to capture the moment. A brief description of the film further expands the situation: “Residents of a lonely ranch in the interior of California witness a strange and chilling discovery.”

Peele explained why he chose to name the film Nope during this year’s Cinemacon: “I love a rapt audience that goes, ‘No!’ I love encouraging that interaction because that’s what gives the audience a unique experience. Roller coasters are not fun alone. Being afraid is not fun alone. You need that energy, ”the director described his new film.

This film is part of an agreement that the director made with Universal Pictures at the end of 2019. It commits Peele to deliver various original projects of his authorship in the following five years. Some time later it became known that he was working on a new untitled script that turned out to be nope! The film began to confirm name and cast in June 2021 in Los Angeles. It was shot on 65mm in IMAX format. This will then be the first of another small list of titles for the remaining two years of the contract, unless it is extended due to the COVID-19 pause.

In the preview, the film is expected to be a huge box office and critical success, as his first two films positioned him as one of the most creative directors working today. The first, Flees! It was a success in every sense and even achieved several distinctions. The second, Us, helped the director grow in popularity. With the third there is great expectation.
