The confirmation of the new episodes took longer than expected – for a series with good reception, as in the case of sandman – and even generated a fan campaign on social media. The wait was worth it and Gaiman has already given the lyrics of what to expect in the second season.

“There are some amazing stories waiting for Morpheus and the rest of them (not to mention more members of the Infinite Family to meet). No one will be happier about this than the cast and crew of sandman: they are the biggest Sandman fans out there,” he said in an official note released by Netflix.
