Samsung may launch a foldable tablet alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 line

Samsung has made it clear several times that it believes foldable devices are the future. She is currently gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 at the Unpacked event this week.

New rumors suggest that the company is also preparing to launch a folding tablet early next year.

According to the South Korean blog naverthe new folding tablet will be revealed along with the Galaxy Tab S9 line, which should be made official in January or February 2023. There are currently no specifications or further details about the devices.

If that happens, Samsung will be the first company on the market to introduce a folding tablet. Previously, the South Korean division presented concepts and registered patents, indicating that the development of the device remains one of its priorities. This would stir up the competition, which could lead to Apple also presenting something similar.

Previously, rumors suggested that the Cupertino giant is also developing a foldable device, but it was unclear whether it would be an iPhone or an iPad.

Samsung will showcase its new generation of foldable phones at the Galaxy Unpacked event on the day august 10where it will officially reveal the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. The first with 256 GB will cost ₩1,998,700 (~BRL 7,995)the same value as its predecessor, while the 512 GB model will be released at ₩2,097,700 (~BRL 8,390).

The second should come more expensive than its previous generation. The 256 GB variant should cost ₩1,299,000 (~R$ 5,196)about $35 more expensive than the Z Flip 3 and the 512GB version would cost ₩1,398,000 (~R$ 5,590).
