Samsung has updated its range of mid-range cell phones with the Galaxy M34, a device that has many elements in common with the Galaxy A34. However, the new device offers improvements in aspects such as the battery and cameras, making it an interesting option for the intermediate niche.

One of the biggest highlights of the smartphone is its large 6,000 mAh battery, larger than the 5,000 mAh on the Galaxy A34 — something we’ve already seen when comparing Galaxy M54 and Galaxy A54. However, the recharge power remains at 25 W, via USB-C cable.

Another change seen was in the platform used, since here Samsung decided to use a proprietary component to lead the performance set, choosing the Exynos 1280 — the Galaxy A34 was presented with the MediaTek Dimensity 1080. 5 nanometers, and has already appeared in cell phones like Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53.

The Galaxy M34 will be sold in two configuration options, both with 128 GB of internal storage. The variation is due to the RAM, which is at 6 or 8 GB.

The device has a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and support for a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel still has Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a drop-shaped notch for the front camera.

The later set gained a new 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), versus the 48MP component seen on the Galaxy A34. Auxiliary cameras include an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro, in addition to a 13 MP front camera.

The Galaxy M34’s operating system is Android 13, with Samsung’s typical One UI 5 interface, with four major software updates and five years of security updates promised. Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, NFC for payments through Samsung Wallet, and USB-C for charging and data transfer.

price and availability

The Galaxy M34 was introduced in the Indian market, but it could reach more countries over the next few weeks. Its official price is Rs. The device will be sold in three color options: Midnight Blue (blue), Prism Silver (silver) and Waterfall Blue (blue).
