Somewhere in the world, there could already be all the pieces of the puzzle that make up the Galaxy S22 launch in January! As the German leaker, Roland Quandt was able to exclusively reveal for our partner WinFuture, Samsung started production of the components last Wednesday. A release in January is therefore likely.
- Samsung is apparently starting production of the Galaxy S22
- Exclusive leak shows components that are required for the S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra
- Galaxy S22 release date planned for January
Samsung has apparently successfully completed the development of the new S22 flagships! Because as our partner WinFuture published, the leaker Roland Quandt was able to reveal details about the production of components for the new flagships. Accordingly, the first components for the devices SM-S901, SM-S906, and SM-S908 have been manufactured in Asian plants since last Wednesday.
These are flex cables that connect different circuit boards in the smartphone with one another. Not exactly exciting, but the production volume has increased to tens of thousands of units since the end of last week. Samsung is preparing for the mass production of the new smartphones and, according to Quandt, only encountered conventional production problems. Although the components were not produced in the desired quantities without errors, this is normal due to the changeover of the machines.
Will Samsung manage to launch in January?
The revelations are a good sign if you are looking forward to the launch of the S22 devices. You may remember that Samsung broke the traditional February release at the MWC in Barcelona last year. Roland Quandt speculates in his article that the start of production in November indicates a release in January. At the same time, the leak contradicts previous information, which saw the Galaxy S22 launch more towards the end of January 2022.
In the upcoming flagship, Samsung is likely to use its own Exynos SoC again. However, there are also rumors about the use of the new Snapdragon 898. It is likely that this will remain exclusive for the US market again, as was the case with the previous models.
