Samsung has started rolling out the May 2022 security patch update for the Galaxy S20 FE with Snapdragon 865 processor — and the initial rollout already includes Brazil, as well as other Latin countries such as Bolivia, Chile, and Paraguay.
The package comes with firmware version G780GXXS3CVD7 and fixes dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities. The news has not yet arrived for the Exynos 990 version of the Galaxy S20 FE, but the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is also already being updated in some markets.
You can now check for the latest software update and download it by navigating to Settings > Software Update and tapping Download and Install if you haven’t already received a notification. Still manual installation can also be done by downloading the firmware file from a database.
Vale remembers that the Galaxy S20 FE arrived with Android 10, received the update to One UI 3 in 2021, and is already running One UI 4.1 of Android 12 in its latest version.
