Samsung Email receives update with improved encryption, new features for the S Pen, and more

THE Samsung released yet another update to its own email app aimed at Galaxy smartphones and tablets with the One UI user interface. This is version 6.1.72.1 and this is the third update for the application released this year.
As per Samsung’s update notes, version 6.1.72.1 fixes an S Pen issue that arises when creating a new email and another error that prevented images from displaying correctly when clicking “Preview”.
Additionally, Samsung Email has received improvements to S/MIME email encryption, although the changelog doesn’t go into more detail on what this change entails exactly, it appears to bolster the security of the service.
Samsung Email is the South Korean company’s answer to Google’s Gmail and has been getting special attention in recent months. The app has surpassed the mark of 1 billion downloads on the Play Store, not counting the Galaxy Store numbers.
The latest version of Samsung Email is now available on the Galaxy Store or Play Store. THE previous build (6.1.70.20) was released last July with security and stability improvements.
