Justin Roiland, co-creator and one of the voice actors of the animated series Rick and Morty, is being accused of domestic violence as a result of an incident that took place in 2020 in the district of Orange County, California.
According to information from NBC News, the showrunner of the sitcom attended a preliminary hearing in the case this past Thursday (12). Neither he nor his lawyers declined to give further details to the news outlet.
In January 2020, Roiland defended himself by claiming he was innocent of the charges of battery and false imprisonment, including threats, violence and fraud against a woman in a relationship.

Already in August of that same year, the co-creator of Rick and Morty he was arrested by the Justice, but ended up being released after paying a bail of 50 thousand dollars. The complainant was a woman named Jane Doewhich is a collective pseudonym used by a person who does not wish to reveal their identity in the United States.
