Redmi Note 12 may have a 50 MP camera and 120 W recharge

The Redmi Note 12 line should be updated soon as the new generation of Xiaomi’s mid-rangers. Information released by the leaker Digital Chat Station shows some likely technical specifications of the base cell phone of the series, especially in terms of battery and cameras.

He pointed out that the models should bring a 50 MP main camera, as in the base version of the Redmi Note 11. Other sensors present in the new device may still include an 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro — again, without major changes. compared to its direct predecessor.

In addition, it was also reported that the device will support recharges of up to 120 W. This specification is already seen in the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus — also known as Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge in some markets — but it is still not possible to know if it will be extended to the other models in the series.

The insider said that the Redmi Note 12 will be able to have its battery fully charged in about 20 minutes, starting from scratch. The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus can do the same in 15 minutes, but its tank is 4,500 mAh – so the change in specification suggests an increase to 5,000 mAh at least.

Other technical details of the smartphones have not been confirmed so far, but a probable representative of the line has already been found in certifications with the code 22101316UG. They are expected to feature MediaTek processors and a high refresh rate display, among other specifications.

It is also not known exactly when the phones will get an official launch, but Redmi product director Lu Weibing has previously stated that the line would be renewed every six months. The goal would be to alternate devices with “focus on performance” and “focus on overall experience”.

As with previous generations, cell phones should be shown first in the Chinese market — there, teasers have already begun to be released on the social network Weibo. However, the letter “G” at the end of the product code confirms that a global release is in the pipeline.
