Redmi Note 12: how Xiaomi could explode the competition

Today, if Xiaomi is one of the main manufacturers of smartphones, it is largely thanks to its mid-range devices, on which the Chinese company offers excellent value for money, with affordable models, but with interesting technical data sheets.

And among Xiaomi’s offerings for this middle market are the Redmi Note devices. With each generation of affordable smartphones, Xiaomi offers new products.

Redmi Note 12: Xiaomi fully on performance?

And apparently, on the next series, the Redmi Note 12 series, the manufacturer could focus on processor performance. In any case, this is what is suggested by an article published by the My Smart Price site.

Relaying a leak that would come from Digital Chat Station (a Chinese source that is regularly relayed by the media), the site indicates that documents referring to two models of the Redmi Note 12 series have leaked. These new leaks would include information about the processors of these two future devices.

Apparently, the Redmi Note 12 series smartphones would use very powerful processors: it could be the Dimensity 1300 or the Dimensity 8000.

Unlike the Dimensity 9000, these Mediatek components would not allow the Redmi Note 12 to have performance equivalent to that of high-end devices, such as the Xiaomi 12 Pro, for example.

A series that would be very popular among mobile gamers

However, if Xiaomi equips the Redmi Note 12 with the Dimensity 8000 processor, we should still have very good performance, even for video games.

“Built using the TSMC N5 (5nm class) production process, the Dimensity 8000 enhances the gaming experience with an octa-core processor offering speeds of up to 2.75GHz, along with the latest graphics Arm Mali-G610 MC6, enabling high frame rate gaming for extended periods in top titles »can we read on the Mediatek website.

The Dimensity 8000 is sort of a stripped-down version of the Dimensity 9000 (whose performance is almost comparable to the iPhone 13). Moreover, the Dimensity 8000 is often compared to the Snapdragon 870 chip from Qualcomm, which equips devices such as the Xiaomi 12X or the OnePlus 9R. The Dimensity 1300 is a more modest processor, but it still performs quite well.
