The first images of the Bridgerton spin-off have already started to come out! In a new promotional photo, actress Arsema Thomas appears as the young Lady Danbury in Queen Charlotte, a series that will follow the monarch years before Daphne Bridgerton marries the Duke of Hastings in the first season of the original series.
“A queen without friends is nobody,” Netflix wrote in a recent Twitter post. Although the spin-off does not yet have a premiere date, it is expected to arrive later this year in the platform’s catalog.

O New Netflix series follows the rise of Queen Charlotte to power and tells the story of her marriage to King Charles. The reign of the two gave rise to the universe of the original series.
The protagonist will be played by India Amarteifio. Meanwhile, Michelle Fairley, Corey Mylchreest, Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett, Freddie Dennis, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Kasim, Rob Malone, Cyril Nri and Hugh Sachs complete the cast.
In turn, Bridgerton is a period romance series based on the books by Julia Quinn and follows the eight siblings of one of the most prestigious families in England in their search for love. All this while a mysterious writer, Lady Whistledown, publishes all the gossip of high society in her periodical.
