PlayStation has been working for many years on its new console: PS5. It has already been on the market for two years and has broken several sales records worldwide. Little by little, the library of games is filling up and a new version could even arrive in 2023 or 2024.
The big question is what Sony would change from its previous console to justify a higher price. Well, possibly we will see a change in the graphics chip or perhaps, like the PS4 Pro, they will only choose to increase the frequencies of the processor.
In the latter case, they will have to look for a new cooling technology or modify the internal order of the hardware so that it ventilates more efficiently. Recall that the PS4 has an AMD Jaguar processor in 28nm with 8 cores at 1.6GHz, while the PS4 Pro has the same AMD processor but in 16nm with 8 cores at 2.13GHz.
The internal storage could also be increased to reach the Terabyte or more. About 200 GB is used for the operating system and other files necessary for the console to work.
As the size of games increases, extended storage is also needed, especially if we choose to buy the PS5 digital edition that does not have a disc reader.
This new PS5 Pro console could also represent the update of the DualSense controller. Possibly, listen to the community and choose to add a removable battery.
