Pokémon GO: the Festival of Colors 2022 brings a new Pokémon

Pokémon GO Community Day is over, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be content for the rest of the month. Niantic, the developer company, announced that from March 15 the Festival of Colors 2022 will start.

We’re excited to announce a brand new global event to celebrate the Festival of Colors! We hope that Trainers around the world will enjoy a diverse group of colorful Pokémon that will appear during the event.”, details the company in the statement.

Unlike safaris, this event is global and will run until 8 p.m. on March 20 (local time). You will be able to access different bonuses such as the extended duration of the baits (three hours) and surprises for taking captures or photos.

In turn, different creatures will debut:

  • Oricorio Passionate Style: will appear in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Oricorio Animated Style: will appear in America.
  • Placid Style Oricorio: will appear in the islands of Africa, Asia, Pacific and the Caribbean.
  • Oricorio Refined Style: will appear in the Asia-Pacific region.

As expected, this event will also feature a color-based challenge: “Complete the Collection Challenge to earn the Elite Collector Badge, as well as earn 20,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and an encounter with Oricorio”.

Drowzee, Horsea, Gligar, Slugma, Taillow, Trapinch, Turtwig, Croagunk, Fletchling, Passionate Style Oricorio, Lively Style Oricorio, Placid Style Oricorio, and Refined Style Oricorio will appear more frequently on the indicated days.
