Poco M5 and M5s leak in online store days before official announcement

Xiaomi is expected to reveal the Poco M5 family of mid-range smartphones next Monday, with the arrival of the M5 itself and also the so-called Poco M5s. Both smartphones appeared in a store on AliExpress and had some details revealed.

  • Xiaomi Notebook Pro 120G has 120 Hz display and more details confirmed
  • POCO M5 will hit the market from next week

The MySmartPrice website managed to find the templates on the AliExpress website and noticed that some technical specifications were described. Apparently, both the Poco M5 and M5s will be offered in three variants: 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB and a more advanced 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage space.

In addition, the color options of each are also clear here, as well as the particularities of their visuals. Apparently, the Poco M5 will have a screen with a drop-shaped notch, three rear cameras and a chip drawer on the left side, being offered in gray, yellow and green colors.

On the other hand, the Poco M5s should adopt a screen with a hole centered at the top for the front camera, with a sound output and an infrared on the upper side to use the cell phone as a universal remote control. In this case, it was listed in gray, blue, and white.

Poco M5s is already a public acquaintance

According to the MySmartPrice portal, the Poco M5s should only be a renamed version of the already announced Redmi Note 10S. In this way, it is expected to be made official with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen and Full HD+ resolution.

In addition, it must have a MediaTek Helio G95 processor and four rear cameras, with a main 64 MP, an 8 MP ultrawide and a macro and a depth camera, both 2 MP. To power this set, its battery must be 5,000 mAh with support for 33W fast charging.

The listings show the supposed prices in New Shekels, Israeli currency. But, the displayed values are high for mid-range devices like this, which implies that this is a placeholder, which is just a higher value than what you will actually be charged, but that will be replaced by the true price in the future.

Now, just wait for the revelation of the two devices on September 5th to confirm this and other information about them.
