In August 2020 Microsoft released Minecraft: Education Edition for Chrome OS and now the game is finally coming to Android and iOS with lots of gameplay improvements and updates with the latest content including the “Caves & Cliffs Part 2” update and more. for educators and students.
As such, the Android and iOS version of Minecraft: Education Edition brings all the changes from the Caves & Cliffs Part 2 update which includes improved generation of mountains, caves and more terrain with an even higher and deeper world.
This version is still gaining many coding improvements so that students can learn to code more efficiently and dynamically with tutorials and information. Encoding mode is now available for everyone.
There are even 20 new NPC skins to help design the worlds. They are distributed among several categories such as agriculture, business and kiosks. This update also integrates improvements to the multiplayer mode, making it easier for families and groups of friends to create worlds together.
Finally, Minecraft: Education Edition also uses the Render Dragon engine, the same one used by “Minecraft: Bedrock Edition”, which means that the new version should bring improved performance even on devices with modest specifications.
