Less than a month before the premiere of the second season, the platform released the official trailer and we are reunited with the intrepid Sheila at the peak of success after the release of her first video for fitness. Created by Annie Weisman (also a screenwriter and executive producer), the plot is set in the 80s city of San Diego, United States, and follows Sheila Rubin (Byrne), an obedient and tortured housewife in silence who fervently supports the candidacy of her intelligent and controversial husband to the state assembly. However, when the world doesn’t see her, she unleashes her true self as she deals with insecurities about her image.

For this new installment, Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus) joined the production in the role of Vinnie Green, a charismatic instructor of fitnessweight loss guru and pioneer of the late-night infomercial.
The television fiction is a production made under the label of Tomorrow Studios (a partnership with ITV Studios).
