Oppo unveiled the newest mid-range smartphone Oppo A1 5G in China. The device has an interesting hardware configuration and bets on a good cost-benefit ratio to conquer Android users.

The device’s specifications were shared by China Telecom and frontally the device has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel screen with a hole in the top center of the display that houses the 8 MP selfie camera.

The Oppo A1 5G processor is the octa-core Snapdragon 695, which has two high-power cores operating at 2.2 GHz and a 5G modem capable of supporting download speeds of up to 2.5Gbps. The device will feature variants of 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and internal storage of 256 GB.

The rear camera system of the phone has two sensors, the main one being 50 MP equipped together with a secondary depth sensor of 2 MP. The device’s hardware is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, unfortunately, China Telecom has not revealed the model’s charging speed.

The company revealed that the device is updated to Android 13, possibly with the user interface being Color OS 13. Like several other Chinese mid-range models, the A1 has an infrared sensor to control home appliances and smart devices. The fingerprint sensor is equipped on the side of the device.

The Oppo A1 5G will be sold in China for a price of CNY 2,099 (R$ 1,544) in the 8 GB version with 256 GB and CNY 2,299 (~R$ 1,691) with 12 GB and 256 GB. As pointed out by GSMArena, the model will be sold in three colors, namely black, orange and blue.
