After launching its first smartwatch a few weeks ago, OnePlus has just released a new mobile phone accessory: a physical clip button that acts as a gaming trigger and can be used on all Android and iOS phones. The smartphone company was working on these OnePlus gaming triggers during the launch event of the OnePlus 9.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed the news about OnePlus gaming triggers through a tweet. Before that, we have not heard any official statement about it
We designed the OnePlus gaming triggers to be solid, responsive, pleasingly “clicky,” and, yes, beautiful. We also made sure they work with many other phones—because the best product design is one that leaves you free to make your own choices. pic.twitter.com/hJNa4Dsa5s

The OnePLus gaming triggers look like two separate attachments. They are attached to the front and back sides of the phone. So that when they are pressed, the trigger functions like the shoulder button found on a controller of the game console, or more precisely.

According to the device listing page on the OnePlus India store, the trigger appears to be a physical button with an “Omron switch” for tactile feedback that is used with the phone via capacitive conduction (also known as a substitute for pressing the fingers). In the photo, the touch button overlaps (and presumably touches) the top of the screen, so the player may need to redesign their on-screen gaming controls so that OnePLus gaming triggers can reach there. Mostly the gaming triggers are used by PUBG players for the scope and fire buttons. They redesign them at the top left and right corners so that gaming triggers can reach there.
OnePlus’ gaming triggers price
OnePlus game triggers are currently being sold on the OnePlus store in India for Rs 1,099 (roughly US $ 15 / £ 11 / AU $ 19). But it is not known when they will be sold in other countries. We have contacted OnePlus to confirm.
The effect of the OnePlus gaming triggers is another matter. Don’t worry, we’d love to give them a try. Although they are not as easy to use as other mobile phone-paired mobile gaming peripherals, their non-digital nature means they can be fixed and used in seconds without a time-consuming setup, and can even be used with screen protectors and used a protective cover on the mobile phone.
