OnePlus Buds Pro can now connect to two devices simultaneously

The latest firmware update for the OnePlus Buds Pro brings a much-requested feature.

Via a software update, the OnePlus Buds Pro has a new function ” Dual Connection “. This allows the headphones to be synchronized with two devices, with the possibility for the user to juggle from one device to another with a single click.

In the headphone settings, we can now activate a new setting, called here ” dual connection “. This is where you can observe the devices paired with the headphones and switch from one to the other. Pairing remains simplified for OnePlus smartphones, but nevertheless fully compatible with smartphones from competing brands.

OnePlus explains that this new version of the firmware of the OnePlus Buds Pro also allows support, with OxygenOS 12, of the LHDC audio codec on the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9.

When you eventually get the update, the description will simply mention the Dual connection capability. It should appear in your OnePlus device’s Headphone settings when you install it. When switched on, your OnePlus Buds Pro will be able to connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time.

That way, you may easily move between your phone and your laptop, for example, without having to reconnect from one to the other. It’s an easy feature to overlook and dismiss, but once you have it, you’ll realize how useful it can be.
