Official AMD Radeon PRO W6000: work GPU for desktop and mobile

AMD Radeon PRO W6000 GPU

In addition to the affordable Radeon 6500 XT gaming video cards, AMD yesterday also unveiled the new Radeon PRO W6000 series of professional cards. We have one desktop card, the Radeon PRO W6400, and two laptops, the W6300M and the W6500M. It is enough to take a look at the nomenclature to realize that here too we are dealing with cheap products.

The cards are naturally all based on the RDNA2 architecture and made on a 6 nm production process. They support hardware ray tracing, PCIe 3.0 and 4.0, and 8K resolution displays. In the case of the desktop card, AMD promises performance up to triple in AutoCAD 2022 and 87% higher in the Holomark 2 test in McNeel Rhino compared to the previous generation. For laptop cards, AMD simply says they are “designed for next generation mobile workstations”.
