Nothing Phone 2 wins likely specs with 512GB of storage

A Nothing already officially revealed some specifications of the Phone 2, but the latest rumors helped to get more details about the brand’s next cell phone. The information revealed by the profile @Techdroider on Twitter indicates what the characteristics of the smartphone should be in aspects such as its screen and performance.

It was said that the device should bring a new 6.7-inch panel, an increase over the Nothing Phone 1 which has 6.55 inches. This new display would have a resolution of 2,412 x 1,080 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei has previously confirmed that the device will have the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 as the main performance component. Introduced in May 2022 as an evolution of the 8 Gen 1, the platform was identified by the executive as a midpoint between high performance and fair price.

Parallel rumors still point out that Nothing Phone 2 will have versions with 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage – that is, an evolution compared to the maximum of 256 GB on Phone 1.

However, this performance improvement should cause an increase in the price charged for the device, as it would move to a level closer to flagship models from other brands.

The other information indicated in the most recent rumors reaffirm what had already been officially pointed out by Nothing. This is the case of the device’s battery, which should have its capacity increased by 200 mAh to reach 4,700 mAh.

Furthermore, it was also said that the device will come with three years of Android updates, and four years of security updates. The Android 13 operating system will still come with the new NothingOS 2.0 interface, full of elements with the brand’s visual identity.

Nothing Phone 2 will be presented on July 11, as already confirmed by the company. The 256GB model is expected to have an official price of €729 (~R$3,786 in direct conversion), while the 512GB option would go for €849 (~R$4,409).
