After years and years of waiting for comic book fans, sandman finally got a worthy adaptation. With creator Neil Gaiman handling the script, the series was very well received by critics and fans alike.

In the plot we follow Morpheus, the Master of Dreams, recovering Dreaming and his tools after being imprisoned for 75 years, when he was mistaken for his sister Death in a modern witch ritual.

Starring Penélope Cruz and directed by Pedro Almodóvar, the film was the filmmaker’s first to be distributed via streaming. Parallel Mothers addresses current issues and reflects on issues such as feminism, politics and motherhood.

1. Heartstopper (100%)

One of Netflix’s big surprises in 2022 was romance Heartstopper, which has a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The first season is based on the graphic novel Two Boys, One Date (2017), written by Alice Oseman.

The series follows Charlie and Nick, who know each other in high school. As the unlikely friendship between the two begins to blossom into romance, they must face this journey of self-discovery and acceptance, supporting each other and learning to be themselves.
