The Mobile World Congress 2023 ended on March 2, and at the end of the event, the organizers distributed the GLOMO (Global Mobile Awards) fees. They are awarded every year in several different categories — mobile network solutions, digital services, devices, Tech4Good digital equal opportunities, government, outstanding individual performance — among these, the device category is the most prestigious according to the organizers. The four awards in the device category “celebrate achievements in hardware development, rewarding consumer-focused technological innovation, superior design and outstanding performance.” And this year two out of four were won by someone who did not participate in the MWC. In the competition for phones introduced between January and December 2022, the best smartphone award was won by the Google Pixel 7 Pro, the Nothing Phone (1), the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4.
