TCL’s portfolio is being expanded with three new smartphones, but the TCL 40 X, XE and XL will not be available in the EU, the manufacturer intends these for the American market. THE TCL 406 at the same time, we will also have it, and this completes the TCL 40 series: the portfolio is 403, 405, 406, 408. The 406 essentially offers the same as the 408, but the 50 MP camera sensor on the back has been replaced with a 13 MP one, thereby achieving a minimal price reduction, the price of the device stops at 120 euros (about HUF 43,000 without taxes).
TCL 406 [+]
The software is full Android 13, not Go. The display has a 6.6″ HD+ (720 x 1612 pixel) resolution, NXTVision image enhancement technology, and a 5 MP front-facing camera hanging from the top. In addition to the 13 MP main camera, there is also a 2 MP depth sensor on the back. The device housing is made of plastic and contains a 5,000 mAh battery that charges at 10 watts via a Type-C connector.

It has 4 GB of RAM and at least 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage space, which can be expanded with microSD. The device uses the MediaTek MT6762G Helio G25, a 4G-capable 12-nanometer chip with an octa-core CPU (4 x 2 GHz Cortex-A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. What is interesting is that a stereo speaker was added to the mobile phone next to the 3.5 mm jack connector. There is an FM radio, NFC in the T507U models, and a fingerprint reader in the power button on the right side.

Along with the phone, earphones with active noise cancellation are also coming to Europe, this is the TCL Moveaudio Neo. TWS, available in black or white, can filter sounds up to 28 dB, has a pass-through mode, Google Fast Pair. The sound is provided by 10 millimeter drivers, the earphones weigh 4.5 grams and have IP54 protection against moisture and dust. Including the case, the headphones weigh 41 grams.

There is SBC and AAC codec support, the earphones are capable of 7 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge, and promise 40 hours of operating time together with the cradle. Charging takes place via a USB-C connector. TCL is asking for 50 euros for all this, which corresponds to 19,000 forints.
Linkzone MW512 and MW63. [+]
In addition to these, two portable hotspots will be added to TCL’s range. THE TCL Linkzone MW512 5G Wi-Fi hotspot that works on sub-6GHz networks. It has a built-in display, where we get information about the status of the device. In addition, the Linkzone MW63 which is already 4G (Cat. 6, with a maximum download speed of 300 Mbps and a maximum upload speed of 50 Mbps), the interesting thing about this device is that it supports eSIM in addition to physical SIM cards. 32 devices can be connected to the hotspots at the same time, they have a 2150 mAh battery and the manufacturer promises 8 hours of continuous operation. They last more than 300 hours in standby mode, but we do not yet know the prices for the products.
