Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 unveiled with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and 50 MP camera

After introducing the 4G version of the Moto G Stylus 2023 a few weeks ago, Motorola has unveiled the 5G variant of the device. In addition to support for a more advanced generation of connectivity, the device brought several other changes, including the arrival of a new processor.

Table of Contents

It is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a platform announced by Qualcomm in September last year. Operating at frequencies up to 2.2 GHz, it promises up to 20% higher performance compared to the previous generation.

The device will be sold in an unlocked version with 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, but some telephone operators will be able to market it in options with 4+128 GB respectively.

It still has a 6.6-inch screen, which is slightly smaller compared to its 6.8-inch predecessor. The panel still features LCD technology, Full HD resolution and support for refresh rates at 120 Hz.

In addition, using this display with the stylus should feel more “simple and natural”, according to what Motorola said. However, at first, the accessory did not bring major changes compared to the previous model.

The set of cameras on the device is led by a 50 MP sensor, lined up with an 8 MP ultrawide that also serves as a macro. On the front, a 16 MP component appears inside a circle centered in the upper section of the display.

The construction of the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 houses a 5,000mAh battery, with support for 20W recharges via cable. It runs Android 13 out of the box, with only one guaranteed system update, plus three years of security updates.

Prices and availability

The device was announced in the United States, and there is no forecast for arrival in other countries, as has already happened with the previous generation. It will be sold in gold or black, for the official price of US$ 399 — about R$ 2,017 in direct conversion.
