WhatsApp has recently highlighted several features available to businesses in the Business version of the app and now a feature that aims to bring more privacy is coming to standard WhatsApp users. With it, you’ll have more control over which establishments can see your phone number.
The novelty was reported by Tutto Android that identified it in the 2.22.18.12 Beta version of WhatsApp. With it, it will be possible to hide your mobile number when chatting with WhatsApp Business users, so you will not be obliged to provide this information to people and establishments you do not know yet.
In addition, WhatsApp must automatically hide your number from certain companies and also from communities, in order to give users even more privacy.
The source also highlights that this novelty is not active in the application, as it is still under development. Thus, the expectation is that it will be released first for WhatsApp Beta users in the coming months.
