Amelia May Alcock – Milly is her stage name – is 22 years old and grew up in Sydney, Australia. She discovered her love of acting as a child, after participating in a children’s production of Little Red Riding Hood.
As a teenager, Milly participated in Australian films and TV shows such as high life, Fighting Season and reckoning. Although, she rose to prominence after participating in the drama series Uprightwhich won him a Casting Guild of Australia Rising Star award.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, the actress revealed that she dropped out of her senior year of high school to star in the series.
At the time she was selected to audition for House of the Dragon, Milly was living in a run-down apartment with her mother and was working washing dishes. A curiosity is that, before taking this test, she had not yet watched Game of Thrones.
Milly Alcock has already stated that your first experience in set in House of the Dragon it was ravishing. This is because she was not used to productions of this size.
“I’ve done Australian television where our entire show’s budget is less than an episode (of House of the Dragon). I’ve never been on a hundred million dollar set before. The character played by Milly Alcock is one of the central House of the Dragonwhich was a worldwide success. Rhaenyra Targaryen is actually a princesseldest daughter of King Viserys I Targaryen and his first wife, Queen Aemma of House Arryn.
The girl is at the center of a tragedy that occurs because of the love her father has for her. As her mother and brothers died, the king does everything not to leave the girl. So he starts training her from an early age to one day take her place.
As a result, the king ignored one of the most important laws regarding the succession to the Iron Throne: only male heirs can take the place. It so happens that the father marries Alicent Hightower again, having four children with the king.
