With glasses, sensors or controllers it is possible enter a metaverse or parallel digital universe in which you can host a virtual event or tour homes in a dream destination. All these experiences are experienced in VirtualityBA, the event that takes place this weekend at La Rural, in Buenos Aires.

Innovation is the true protagonist of each of the stands that are visited in this space. The company Realidad 360 Argentina share an immersive experience designed so that people in wheelchairs can explore different virtual environments.

metahumans

The same stand also shows the operation of suits with sensors that take every action performed by the people wearing that outfit and transmit these movements in real time. This allows it to be used for virtual streaming.

This technology is also used to create digital environments. In dialogue with TechMarkupexplain that they use this innovation to generate content for animations that are later seen in advertisements and other types of immersive experiences.

Also noteworthy is the proposal by Unlock, a producer of face-to-face and virtual content, which at the show brought a solution that allows transform the participants into avatars or metahumans with Live gesture capture within a virtual space.

The metahumans they are hyper realistic digital versions that can be designed from scratch or from the images of a person. for this last a camera that maps the user’s face or body is needed in order to transfer it to the digital universe.

This development allows any meeting or conference to move to digital environments regardless of the number of attendees or where they are physically in the analog world.. “In this world that the metaverse creates, everything can be shown, enlarged and tested. It is a new reality that does not replace the experience of socializing, but it does generate a new bond between humans and there we move like fish in water”, highlights Steve Leiman, director of Unlock.

Following the tour of the fair, you can find several recreational proposals such as the possibility of painting digital pictures or playing a game of basketball in virtual reality. The experience of Erks that offers virtual reality solutions oriented to the real estate sector is also highlighted.

The company carries out developments for clients in different parts of the world and thus offers them the possibility of exploring digital homes using controllers and virtual reality glasses. In this way, people can learn about architectural details and other characteristics of the houses that they will later acquire.

Virtual reality also offers the opportunity to experience stories in 360. And this is the proposal that can be experienced at the stand of TechMarkup. There are several stories and productions that can be known from an immersive proposal so that the user gets fully involved in these tours.

Some of the immersive proposals that can be experienced are the following:

The root is more important than the flower is a 360° documentary by the filmmaker descendant of Huarpe (a native town of the Argentinian Cuyo), Cristina Kotz Cornejo. In this production, Cornejo is guided by the leader of the Huarpe community, María Zalazar, who introduces her to the culture and ceremonies of the descendants of this people in what is now known as San Juan.

Notes on blindness is a production of Ex Nihilo, Archer’s Mark, Novelab Audiogaming, which immerses the user in the cognitive and emotional experience of blindness.

is also Antarctic Expedition, a work directed by Luc Jacquet and Jeanne Guillot. The proposal allows you to fly over an ocean of ice and crystal clear waters, dive under glaciers and get close to seals and penguins as if you were really there.

simulators

Simulators also stand out at the fair (Maximilian Luna)

Lovers of immersive experiences can find simulators at the Zenta booth. There is one that emulates a roller coaster ride and another that exhibits a ride over a field to show the seed manufacturing cycle.

They also have a solution that integrates a kinect camera that takes the movements designed by the user on a sand circuit and passes that data to a simulator so that the custom-designed circuit can be handled. This technology has been used in vehicle presentations.

The development of this type of simulators, virtual and augmented reality experiences, as well as mapping, holographic images and other visual technologies can be used for events, recreational contexts or presentations of all kinds of products.

In addition, they have solutions based on sensors, within the IoT universe that can be used to better understand different factors in the agricultural, industrial or government field. All that information collected can then be processed and used to make better informed decisions.
