MediaTek introduced the Helio G36

On February 13, he presented the MediaTek the Helio G36 system chip. MediaTek recommends the chip manufactured at TSMC using 12 nm FinFET production technology for entry-level gaming phones. The 4G data connection, the 50 MP resolution camera and the 90 Hz refresh display are handled, as well as the MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 Lite technology in the new chip. With the latter, the phone is promised to be able to manage the data connection (Wi-Fi or 4G) more intelligently while playing, to adapt the management of the CPU, GPU and memory to real-time factors (performance, temperature, game) and to operate with increased energy efficiency.

The Helio G36’s predecessor, the G37, debuted in Europe in the Motorola Moto G22. [+]

The maximum resolution of the displays handled by the Helio G36 is 1080 x 2400 pixels with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The CPU has eight Arm Cortex-A53 cores at 2.2 GHz, the GPU is an IMG PowerVR GE8320. The chip handles a maximum of 8 GB LPDDR4X at 1600 MHz or LPDDR3 at 933 MHz from the operational memory, and can work with eMMC 5.1 from the storage space. It handles a maximum of two cameras for image creation (13 + 13 MP), but it is also an option to use a 25 MP or 50 MP sensor, the upper limit of video recordings is 1080p. Wi-Fi 5 (802.11b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G LTE Cat-7 modem (2 CC-CA) are provided. The modem supports 4G dual SIM, VoLTE and ViLTE work on both cards. For navigation, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, QZSS and Beidou are on the supported list.

The chip will probably debut in a phone intended for the Indian market, but it may also arrive in European stores later. Its predecessor, the Helio G37, can be found in the Motorola Moto G22, for example.
