On Monday (24), Marvel released the official trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, bringing back the villain Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors in the MCU. The villain is known to be extremely dangerous and there is speculation that he could even defeat Thanos in battle.
The villain was introduced to the MCU in the season 1 finale of Loki, being responsible for controlling the AVT – Temporal Variance Authority. Kang is therefore the most dangerous variant of the character known as the One Who Remains.
Meanwhile, Thanos was the main villain of the saga The Avengersculminating in the great battle of Ultimatum.
When we think of Marvel villains, there’s no doubt that the two are readily touted as the biggest threats in this universe. But in the end, which one is the most powerful? Let’s analyze and take the opportunity to check out the trailer that introduces the villain!
MCU: Meet Kang The Conqueror and Find Out If He Could Defeat Thanos
the new movie of Ant Man will show the consequences of chaos in the multiverse, however, it will not be the One Who Remains who will be in the Quantum Realm, but its most dangerous variant.
In the comics, he appeared in the 30th century, in another timeline, known as Earth-6311. Inspired by time travel, Nathaniel of Earth-6311 decides to use this mechanism to his advantage and takes control of the timelines. With that, he officially assumes the identity of Kang the Conqueror.
While Kang and Thanos have never met in the MCU, there is speculation that the former could be much stronger. That’s because, at a certain point in Marvel’s history, the villain asks: “Have I killed you before? All deaths are confused.”

So it’s safe to say that Kang has killed other Avengers in different timelines – more than that, he’s killed so many times that he can’t remember all of his victims. Although Thanos wiped out half of the planet’s population for 5 years, that sentence alone can already indicate that Kang could probably defeat Thanos (in different timelines).
