Disney unveiled this Wednesday (15) a new live action teaser The Little Mermaidstarring Halle Bailey in the lead role.
The preview gives an idea of what to expect from the look of the feature, as well as quickly showing beloved characters such as Flounder, Prince Eric and the villainous Ursula. Check it out below:
While Bailey plays the protagonist, Hauer-King will live Prince Eric, Daveed Diggs will be Sebastian, Javier Bardem will play King Triton, Melissa McCarthy will play the villainous Ursula, Awkwafina will play Scuttle, and young Jacob Tremblay will voice Flounder.

Rob Marshall, also responsible for Mary Poppins Returns, assumes the director’s chair. The screenplay is by Jane Goldman (X-Men: Days of Future Past).
Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Tick, Tick…Boom!) are working on composing new songs for the plot.
The Little Mermaid premieres on May 25, 2023 in Brazilian theaters.
