Through his official Twitter account, James Gunn went public about his new position as one of the heads of DC Studios. Alongside Peter Safran, the filmmaker will run the subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery which has more than ten thousand characters to be developed in new projects.
According to him, fans can look forward to great productions in the future, given that his management will carry out the greatest DCEU story ever told to date. In five tweets, initially, Gunn thanked the public for the support and recalled campaigns made by fans about some DC projectsas legends of tomorrow it’s the The Ayer Cut for Suicide squad (2016).

“As the new (and first) CEOs of DC Studios, Peter and I feel it’s important to acknowledge you, the fans, and let you know that we’ve heard all of your wishes to move forward with DC,” he continued in the second tweet.

“While our ability to interact on Twitter has diminished due to the workload of our new roles, we are always listening and staying open to everything as we embark on this journey. This is what we will continue to do in the coming years.”
“But our entire initial focus is on the story going forward, crafting the new DCEU and bringing the biggest story ever told across multiple movies, television shows, and animation projects,” Gunn wrote.
“We invite all DC fandoms from across the multiverse – and everyone else too – to this new universe. We can’t wait to reveal more,” he concluded.
Management of James Gunn and Peter Safran may conceive creative unit at DC
As James Gunn himself pointed out in his tweets, this is the first time that DC Studios will have a chief executive – in fact, two. Previously responding to Warner Bros. Pictures through Walter Hamada as president of the subsidiary, now, the expectation is that the next projects will be able to have a creative unity around their cinematic universe.

Apparently, according to what has been released so far, the duo chosen to run DC Studios will be divided into some tasks and responsibilities to streamline the work steps.
