It will be smaller than the Pixel 8 predecessor

Citing Ross Young’s sources, he writes a GSMArena, that the basic model of the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will have a slightly smaller display than its 6.32″ predecessors. According to them, the AMOLED display of the Pixel 8 manufactured by Samsung will have a 6.16-inch screen diagonal, while the Pro model will remain with the 6.7-inch panel used in recent years. In terms of display size, Google can join Apple and Samsung in this way, because even the smaller versions of the flagship devices of the two dominant brands in the North American market are equipped with a 6.1-inch panel. Based on the renders, we already know that the camera band will remain on the back, but slightly more rounded edges and frames can be expected in both new phones.

What is seen in the renders is also confirmed by the images that have been uploaded to the Internet of the cases being made for the Pixel 8 series. Google may begin production of the devices in May, and sales may begin in the fall. The basic model remains with two cameras (wide and ultra-wide), in the Pro model this is supplemented by a periscopic zoom camera and laser autofocus.
