Is “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” responsible for a change that Prime Video will make?

The price rise of Prime Videowill affect countries like Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom and it will be from September 15 that the monthly subscription will go from 3.99 euros to 4.99 euros. While the subscription will go from 36 to 49.90 euros.

In other countries like UK and Germany the increase will be a little lower and will range between 20% and 30%, while in Italy and France the rise will be more pronounced and will be around 40%. This price increase was to be expected, since last February amazon had increased his subscription USA.

Some specialists warn that, in addition, the increase in this price is not random since it will be in September that the platform will premiere its long-awaited show. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerwhich so far is the most expensive series ever made.

Even with the price increase, the Prime Video subscription is still considerably cheaper than other services such as Netflix, HBOMax either Disney+. All this without counting free shipping, Amazon Music, Twitch Prime and other advantages offered by the subscription to Amazon-Prime.
