Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo returns to the fray with a new indiscretion that will surely shock Apple fans interested in the smartphone line iPhone SE. The fourth generation of the mid-range mobile device, proposed as a less expensive alternative to the more famous top-of-the-range iPhones, may not arrive on the market at all between 2024 and 2025: is this a postponement or a cancellation?
No iPhone SE 4 soon
The renowned South Korean tipster was clear on Twitter: after the predictions shared just six days ago, he stated in these hours that the fourth generation iPhone SE will not arrive in 2025as Apple would be carefully evaluating the actual popularity and profitability of the series.
I think SE 4 is not currently part of Apple’s new product planning for 2024/2025. https://t.co/5TVl0mkTpb

Indeed, according to what reported by Kuo the smartphone could arrive in 2026 as a “prototype” that will host the first 5G chip developed and manufactured in Cupertino, and then bring the same solution for mobile networks to the flagship line. However, this is an eventuality considered “difficult”, if not “really unlikely” by the analyst, according to which iPhone SE 4 could reach its maximum in 2026 together with the iPhone 18 series, four years after the third generation.
However, this remains a mere market indiscretion to be taken with a grain of salt, as Apple has not shared any information regarding the smartphone in question. In the meantime, however, other leakers suggest that it could come with a 6.1 inch OLED display equipped with notches. Will it really be like this or, with the postponement rumored by Kuo, will the rumors change over the next few months, leaving maximum freedom to the imagination? One thing is certain: there will always be plenty of irons in the fire for Apple fans.
