iOS and iPadOS 16.1 has been released

The iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16.1, watchOS 9.1 and tvOS 16.1 operating systems will be available for compatible Apple devices on October 24, European time from 19:00. The update is the first of version 16 for iPad devices, and the first major repair package for iPhone, which makes available several functions announced at the presentation. Examples include the shared iCloud photo library and live notifications, but this update also opens up the use of the dynamic island of the iPhone 14 Pro models to developers.

With the update, the Stage Manager becomes available for iPad on the newer Pro and Air tablets, that is, the various programs can now run in quasi-windows as well. iPads equipped with an M1 or M2 chip also support external displays with Stage Manager. What comes to all iPads are the innovations for editing messages and emails (timed sending, canceling sending, editing after sending, setting a reminder to return to email), as well as the possibility of collaboration within the Safari browser.

The shared library is also new in iCloud photos, the 16.1 system can now save pictures directly to the directory we choose, for example, all the photos of a family vacation can go to the album to which all members of the family have access. With iOS 16.1, keys can be shared via the Apple Wallet, and Matter standard support arrives in the Home application.
