For the wrist, the Chinese bring the Smartwatch Watch GT3 and the fitness tracker Watch Fit mini. The Huawei Watch GT3 offers new features that should be of particular interest to multisport enthusiasts – there is also an important improvement in operation.
- Huawei Watch GT3 in two versions: 46 mm and 42 mm
- Innovations: digital crown for operation and better pulse tracking
- Fitness tracker Watch Fit mini with a stylish design
In addition to the smartwatch duo, Huawei has also presented fresh hardware for the wrist. The most noticeable innovation on the Watch GT3 is the digital crown, which we have already seen on the Watch 3 Pro. The watch should also be able to be operated when the user is wearing gloves or the display is wet. Otherwise, there is Harmony OS with all the ups and downs that our colleagues went through in the Huawei Watch 3 Pro test.

The case of the Watch GT3 is, however, much smaller – both in the 46 mm and in the 42 mm version. Huawei has also worked on fitness tracking. The pulse sensor on the back now has twice as many photosensors and should therefore measure more precisely even with more complex tasks. Is the deviation, as Huawei says, less than ten percent compared to a chest strap system? We will test.
Otherwise, the Watch GT3 offers a battery life of up to 14 days, a 1.32 or 1.43 inch OLED display, as well as the usual bouquet of tracking features from pulse, sleep, SpO2, stress & Co. I also have to say that the Huawei Fit app really offers excellent evaluation options and training plans from which one or the other pure fitness manufacturer can still learn something.
