The same application allows you to manage this information in detail, giving you the option to completely block the generation of memories, manage them or restrict the appearance of content from certain people.

Manage Google Photos Memories
For each of the four options that this section gives, there is only one way to find them, which is by opening the application or its website and then going to Settings> Memories.
Four settings will be displayed there and this is what can be done in each one:
Hide people and pets
Clicking here will open a whole collage with the faces of the people and animals that appear in the photos that are saved in the application’s cloud, in some cases the same person may appear for two months, but this is because perhaps in an image had an element that hid some part of your face and the system took you as someone different.
To block that person, simply click on their image. This will prevent more memories from appearing in which it is present, as well as in the creations or in any search that is carried out.

As the name says, the users here can choose a time range in which they want the pictures taken at that time not to come out as a memory again.
To do so, you have to press the ‘Add dates’ button and choose the start and end day for the period of time to hide, which can be weeks, days or years.

This is a much more general section. Here you can select the types of memories that you want to see featured in the application, which are positioned at the top when you open Photos.
Here the options to choose the memories by date, the themes, according to people, places and things, and finally the creations, which are editions that the platform makes through collages, animations and videos of related content, such as the latest year of photos of a child or a pet.
notifications
The last option is aimed at managing the type of alerts generated by the application, specifically in the memories section.
There are three alternatives to activate or deactivate: memories by date, themes or creations. In each option, you can move the button to decide if the platform notifies you when there is content referring to the past in that type.
It is important to clarify that pictures use shared cloud storage with all apps Google, What Drive, Gmail, Drive and so on, so you must choose the images and videos that are stored there carefully and check the cadence of backups, since unwanted content can be saved and the process can be paused, losing information.
The limit that the company sets for all accounts in the free version is 15 GB. In case you want to expand that storage space, the company offers a subscription that increases the range to 100 GB.
