A social network popular as Instagram equals a good place to do fraud. Through social engineering strategies Hackers manage to steal credentials from user profiles, i.e. hack accounts.
To find out if it’s a victim you can pay attention to some features and perform actions to recover the account. For example, the easiest way to know someone else took the account is if the profile cannot be accessed after trying to log in with the same password and username. This is even more noticeable when you cannot access even though you were logged in on the device.
Although it cannot be confirmed 100% that the account has been hacked, not being able to access with the usual information is an alert that probably someone else has it under their control and changed the password.
The first thing you’ll want to do in this situation is to recover your account, so here are a few steps to do just that. It should be noted that some may not be available, as it varies in each situation, so it is recommended to try each one.
