Since its creation in 2012, the production and distribution films A24 has been progressing a lot — especially those in the horror genre. In recent years, the American company founded by Daniel Katz, David Fenkel and John Hodges has been delivering horror films that combine supernatural elements with twisted stories and powerful messages.

The A24 popularized artistic horror and won over audiences and critics alike because his films manage to capture the viewer’s attention through their visuals and make them an immersive experience.

The film is an origin story inspired by the villain of X – The Mark of Death, being a prequel that shows the life of the character in 1918decades before the events of X.

The Sacrifice of the Sacred Stag (2017)

The Witch (2016)

The family then starts to live in an isolated place, on the edge of the forest, suffering from a shortage of food. One day, their newborn son disappears. And that’s the question the family members seek to unravel as they grapple with their worst fears.

Saint Maud (2020)

The film follows the life of a young nurse who has recently been discharged from psychiatric care. Now, she has been entrusted with the care of Amanda (Jennifer Ehle), a retired dancer with cancer. Maud’s (Morfydd Clark) faith soon turns into an obsession in which she must save the dancer’s soul before she is condemned to hell.

The film takes place in 1979, where a group of adult film actors and actresses and the film crew go to an elderly couple’s farm in rural Texas to shoot a movie. As time passes, visitors realize that they are not safe there.

Bee and his girlfriend decide to travel to Europe for a party with some friends in a secluded mansion. The group decides to play “Death, Death, Death”, a game where someone is “murdered” and the group needs to discover the killer.

The joke becomes reality when one of the friends is found dead, and Bee and the others need to find out who the real killer is before it’s too late.

Under the Skin (2013)

An alien arrives on Earth in search of human prey. His main weapon is his sexuality, but along the way, he discovers an unexpectedly human part of himself.
