Honor trolls in the MWC preview

So far, it has not been officially confirmed by the brand what they will do at MWC, whether they will be there at all, but the picture can be put together. On the one hand, Honor is listed among the Barcelona exhibitors on the MWC website, and we can already see which stand they will occupy at the congress. Based on the rumors coming from China, it can also be guessed that the Magic5 high-end devices will be launched on February 27th, which is exactly the time of the MWC.

It is said that Honor will announce the product premiere with this teaser. (source: Gizmochina) [+]

An image from Honor’s MWC teaser was also leaked via social media, showing the world’s first photo of a black hole taken by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), with the text in front of it saying: “Go on through the Galaxy to experience the real Miracle!”. The text clearly refers to Samsung Galaxy smartphones and Honor Magic mobile phones, of which the Magic5 and Magic5 Pro may arrive at MWC, but there are also rumors of an Ultimate version.

Based on the information so far, at least one of these will get a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120HZ refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM, 480Hz touch sampling, HDR10+ support, and 1100 nits of brightness. The Magic UI 7.0 interface, already based on Android 13, can make its debut on the international market. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is not a surprise, as are the LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The battery can remain at 4,800 – 5,000 mAh, and it will be accompanied by 66-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging. It is expected that the 3D face recognition will remain in the phone, as well as the elongated notch at the top of the display.
