The already independent Honor is expanding its Far Eastern portfolio with a new device. This is the Honor Pad X8, not to be confused with the Honor X8, the Honor Pad 8, or the Honor Pad X8 Lite! The Honor Pad X8 is a budget tablet with a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The display is IPS LCD, under which works a MediaTek MT8786 chip, in which the CPU counts with two 2 GHz Cortex-A75 cores and six 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The tablet also comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage space.

There is a 5-megapixel camera on the back, while a 2-megapixel sensor is hidden in the longitudinal side of the frame on the front. By the way, the housing measures 240.2 x 159 x 7.55 millimeters, and the machine weighs 450 grams, the bulk of which can be attributed to the 5100 mAh battery, since the back and frame are made of plastic. This wouldn’t even be so strange, but the software is Magic UI 4.0 based on Android 10, which is two generations behind the current latest version.
The device appears in blue, later it will also be available in black, silver and green versions. [+]
For now, the device can only be ordered in China, the manufacturer is asking for 1,299 yuan for pre-orders, which is equivalent to 74,500 forints. Once the pre-order period is over, the price will rise to 1,399 yuan, which is roughly 80,000 Hungarian forints at the moment. It is questionable whether the Honor Pad X8 will leave the company’s domestic market, probably not, and instead the Honor Pad 8 will be the tablet offered on the Western market.
