Newcomers are also present, such as Leila Khan, who will make her debut in series productions. The actress passed a hotly contested audition for the role of Sahar Zahid, one of the students at Higgs. Meanwhile, Bradley Riches has been cast as James McEwan, a student at Truham.
The adult cast includes Nima Taleghani as Professor Farouk, one of Professor Ajayi’s (Fisayo Akinade) colleagues, who, according to Alice Oseman’s original comics, promises big emotional plot twists during a student tour.
However, perhaps the most significant addition to Season 2 of heartstopper focus on Jack Barton, who has been chosen to play David Nelson, Nick’s older brother. Undoubtedly, in addition to the romantic conflicts between the protagonists, audiences will see more depth in the Nelson family, which also includes Olivia Colman as matriarch Sarah and a possible as-yet-unannounced casting for Nick’s father.
