11) House of the Dragon
One of the most anticipated series of the year, the spin-off of game of Thrones debuted in the HBO Max catalog with record audience in Latin America. The plot takes place about two centuries before the original series and features the civil war between House Targaryen.
10) tokyo vice
The series, starring Ansel Elgort, mixes drama and police thriller and accompanies Jake Adelstein, an American journalist who moves to Tokyo with the dream of joining the team of one of the largest newspapers in the world, the Yomiuri Shinbun.
He gets the job, but when approaching Detective Hiroto Katagiri (Ken Watanabe), an expert in organized crime, Jake starts to explore the dark and dangerous world of the Yakuza, known Japanese mafia.

9) hacks – 2nd season
hacks was a hit in 2021 when it was released, and the second season keeps pace. Nominated in the main categories of the 2023 Golden Globes, the season continues with the rain of (mean) jokes from the duo played by Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder.

8) euphoria – 2nd season
The second batch of episodes from euphoria premiered in January on HBO Max and was high not only on social networks, but also at the awards. The series earned the second award for best actress in a drama series for Zendaya.
The second season continues to show the group of teenagers, as they go through all the frustrations, joys and ‘firsts’ of the phase in a scenario filled with drugs and sex.
7) Peacemaker
The production focused on the anti-hero Peacemaker, introduced in Suicide squad, shows a new side of the character. Directed by James Gunn, the new head of DC Studios, the series had a very positive reception from critics and fans alike.
6) barry – 3rd season
The third season of barry debuted tentatively on HBO Max, but soon made a name for itself, garnering a 100% critics’ approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The plot follows a hitman (Hader) who goes to Hollywood to perform a job, but ends up finding a new passion: the theater.
5) The test
The Essay can be considered, by far, the most ‘different’ series on the list. According to the synopsis, screenwriter Nathan Fielder “prepares ordinary people for the biggest moments in their lives by ‘rehearsing’ them in carefully crafted simulations.”

4) The ladder
the miniseries The ladder begins when Kathleen Peterson is found dead on the stairs of her home and her husband, writer Michael Peterson, is accused of murder. The series tackles the mysterious case, with an all-star cast including Colin Firth and Toni Collette.
3) The White Lotus – 2nd season
The second season of the series created by Mike White reached streaming in November and can already be considered one of the best productions of 2022. The new episodes are set in another White Lotus resort, located in Sicily, but the plot follows the same narrative style of first season: a comedy beyond acid.

The film starring Robert Pattinson was one of the year’s biggest hits, taking fifth place in the 2022 highest-grossing rankings, with $770 million globally. The film covers the first two years of the millionaire as the vigilante of Gotham.
