The series Gotham Knights doesn’t premiere until March 14 of this year on The CW, but to make DC fans even more curious about what’s to come, the network has released an unprecedented trailer for the production. Although it caused somewhat negative reactions with its official announcement last year, the expectation is that the 1st season will conquer the public.

And despite looking like a spin-off of the latter, the series’ plot is unique and was created from the existence of some important comic book characters never seen before in audiovisual productions. It is also worth noting that, despite having the same name as a famous DC game, the series has little to do with what happens in that other medium.

Undoubtedly, the first episode of Gotham Knights will focus on exposing some important events for the context of the narrative. Among them is the mysterious death of Bruce Wayne, the Batman, whose adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) is accused as the main suspect in this murder.
However, the young man seems to have no guilt and realizes that other children of well-known heroes and villains have also become suspects. This is the case of Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), the daughter of one of Batman’s greatest enemies, the Joker. As investigations progress, Harvey Dent (played by Misha Collins) comes up with his own hypotheses, including doubting Duela’s family tree.

In all, the series will have 13 episodes to introduce Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson), Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore) and Brody March (Rahart Adams). In an increasingly dark Gotham, all these characters will have to rely only on themselves to prove their respective innocence.
