Without a doubt, the technology It makes life easier for all people in the world, although sometimes it gives more than one expects. Then, TechMarkup brings the case of a man who found his grandfather dead last year on this platform owned by Google.

This is known thanks to the user account of Twitter, @diegomorals, where told this story caused by the use of Street View. According to his testimony, the young man found his deceased grandfather last year in one of his favorite places thanks to the Google tool.

Later, he asked netizens to value your loved ones and visit a member who is alone or sick.

“Take advantage of your loved ones. Visit that uncle, cousin, friend, grandfather who is lonely or sick. Fix your problems with those who have them. Make peace with those who hurt you or who you hurt. Life is fleeting, affection is eternal”, said Diego.

As expected, this post went viral with hundreds of likes and comments. Likewise, there were more testimonies and they shared similar cases.

Other cases of deceased people in the street images of Google Street View

Users of social media have been sharing for a while the photos of deceased family and friends that appear in google street view, the service that offers 360° images of the world’s streets. Here is a review of 5 cases:

Neil Henderson, a BBC contributor, found the photo of his late father standing in the doorway of his house. “I have literally hundreds of photos of my dad, but on Google Street View it’s quite shocking, like he’s still here,” he said.

The post said they had searched the Google Maps app, launched in 2007, for images taken before their father’s death.

Another case became known thanks to a user, on his Twitter, showed a picture of a couple and wrote: “I can go back to 2009 and see my parents walking down the street holding hands. I lost them 8 and 6 years ago.”

Another user named Bernard Baker exposes the case of a woman standing at the door of her house, and writes in her tweet: “My mother going out for a cigarette.”

Others said that only seeing local images taken when their loved ones were still alive it made them feel a connection. “My beloved dad who died in 2013 is still on Google Maps,” one woman wrote, showing her father in the window of their home.

Some, however, said they were sad that some street images on Google Street View they had been replaced by more recent photos. Nevertheless, Is there a way to go back to the previous ones.

If there is a clock icon at the top left of Google Maps, then preview images are available. Thanks to this tool, Karim Palant was able to find a previous scene in which his late grandfather, Charles Palant, appeared in a shot from 2015. It shows him leaning out the window of his apartment in Paris. The man died a few months later.

“It was on that floor for about 70 years, I spent a lot of happy times there,” said Karim Palant. Furthermore, he explained that his grandfather was taking computer classes when he was 90 years old, but he does not believe that he saw himself on Google Street View.
