Google Pixel Notepad, we know the price of the future folding (and it stings)

His exit seemed uncertain until a few weeks ago when sources claimed that the Mountain View firm had abandoned him. However, the folding Google Pixel is well and truly on its way to commercialization.

Google’s next smartphone is becoming more and more precise with two new pieces of information: its name and its price.

The Google Pixel NotePad sold at a competitive price?

Google’s folding smartphone announcement draws closer as news around the next one flagship of the American giant continue to leak on the web. It’s a new time 9To5Google who delivers some indiscretions starting with his name. According to their sources, the phone would not be called the “Google Pixel Fold”, but the “Google Pixel NotePad”. The name “Logbook” would also have been mentioned at one time in order to emphasize its ability to offer a space for productivity by referring to the notebook or the notebook.

The most interesting is not so much its name, but its price. A few days ago, the same site claimed that the Google Pixel NotePad would be marketed at a more attractive price than the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Sources now seem to have a slightly more accurate price estimate. The folding smartphone would be launched at a price of around $1,400, which is $500 more than the Google Pixel 6 Pro, but above all $400 less than the recommended retail price of its competitor, the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Knowing that Samsung’s folding smartphone was marketed at 1,799 euros on our territory, the Pixel NotePad should be sold around 1,400 euros in France.

A delayed launch in France

However, we will certainly have to wait before the Google Pixel NotePad arrives in France. The website 9to5Google specifies in fact that there should be a delay between the launch of the phone in the United States and its marketing in the rest of the world. Also according to information from the site, Google plans to launch its folding smartphone by the end of the year.

Question specs, the site recalls that the Pixel NotePad would be closer to the OPPO Find N with a slightly larger and squarer design than the Galaxy Z Fold 3, as shown by photos found in the lines of code of Android 12L. The folding smartphone would also use the Google Tensor chip from the Google Pixel 6, as well as a 12.2-megapixel Sony IMX363 main photo sensor already present in the Pixel 5 and two 8-megapixel IMX355s sensors for selfies.
