It is expected that the Google Pixel 6 will launch on Google I/O 2021 on May 18. This seems unlikely because the Pixel 5a is more likely to appear, but we cannot say anything for certain. However, we will almost certainly see some hints on the Pixel 6.
That’s because Android 12 can show off at Google IO, and if precedents are followed, the operating system will finally make its debut on Google Pixel 6. So, the IO event can give us a preliminary understanding of how Google pixel 6 will finally run.
Google Pixel 6 release date
Our knowledge of the availability of the Google Pixel 6 is only based on the Pixel 5. Based on the trend of Google’s flagships, we expect this phone to come out in late 2021. October is probably the best option.
However, we have the opportunity to get more information about the phone at Google IO 2021, and it has been confirmed to start from May 18 to 20.
Google Pixel 6 design
Recently, we have seen some leaked renders, which may be the Google Pixel 6 series. We used the word “series” because the renderer implies that there may also be Pro models.
However, we will be in the lead: these representations come from sources with unstable records. Obviously, this is quite possible this is legal, but we hope to see some more credible sources for verification before we get excited.
At first glance, you can see that these renderings indicate that Google may be doing a lot of new things in the Pixel series. These renderings have completely improved the overall look of the phone, and everything from the raised camera to the screen cutout has changed.

Incidentally, in the early release of Android 12 evidence emerged that the Pixel with an in-display fingerprint scanner is about to appear, consistent with these renderings. Additionally, we also have evidence that upcoming Pixel phones may have a centered selfie camera cutout. This may be different from the left-aligned clippings we’ve seen in the last few pixels and is consistent with these rendering effects.

Google Pixel 6 specs
Original specs have never been the center of attention for Pixel phones. So you can be sure that the Google Pixel 6 surely won’t be a beast of any specs. However, this does not mean that it will not be weak either.
So far, the biggest rumor related to the Pixel 6 is that it may include a new custom chipset codenamed “Whitechapel.” The chipset will be exclusive to the Pixel 6 created jointly by Google and Samsung. Unfortunately, this is all we know. But we can also infer a few things here.

There are rumors that the Google Pixel 5a will come to light with the Snapdragon 765G. The Snapdragon765G is the same chipset as the Pixel 5. If it finally changes, it means that Google thinks that the Pixel 6 “Whitechapel” chip will be better than the Snapdragon 765G.
Rumors also indicate that the new pixel 6 can support ultra-wideband (UWB) technology. However, we still don’t know what that means.
We can assume for the rest of the specifications that pixels 6 will be much better than we saw in pixel 5.
Google Pixel 6 Price and availability
One of the last factors that make Pixel phones so successful is price. Although the Pixel 5 is not “cheap”, it will certainly undermine the competitiveness of most competitors.
So if Google plans to turn the Pixel 6 into an expensive phone, we will be surprised. It may be more expensive than the Pixel 5, but it should be well below the $ 1,000 range we see in many flagships. Of course, if the Pixel 6 Pro does exist, it will inevitably be a more expensive device. You can enter the high-end flagship pricing area.
We cannot say much about the availability of this phone. Google has never been good at bringing Pixel phones to many regions of the world. More importantly, continuing global chip shortages can make distribution difficult even in its core markets.
