The great day has come. Today, Tuesday (10), the 80th edition of the Golden Globes takes place, an award that celebrates the best films and series and is seen by many as a thermometer for the Oscar, which, in 2023, takes place on March 12. As usual, the event is organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and will take place at the luxurious The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael, the 2023 Golden Globes will have important titles competing for the night’s awards, such as Avatar: The Way of Water, Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis, Abbott Elementary, Dahmer: An American Cannibal, The White Lotus, Only Murders in The Building, Pum & Tommy and Wandinha.

Where to watch the 2023 Golden Globes?
Unfortunately, this year, the Golden Globes will not be officially broadcast in Brazil. The cable television channel TNT, which used to show the event every year, would not have acquired the broadcast rights for 2023. The red carpet, however, which shows the arrivals and interviews with the stars and stars before the big awards, will continue on air through the E! channel, also on closed TV.
In the United States, the celebration will air on NBC, which had not broadcast the event in 2022 due to some scandals (ethical and financial) involving the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. There is a fear, however, that the audience will not be the highest during the exhibition, as The New York Times points out, since the party still needs to recover its credibility.

Although it cannot be watched in Brazil, the 80th edition of the Golden Globes can be followed online, through the official social networks of the event: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The winners will be revealed in real time, as the occasion progresses.
It is also worth mentioning that, this year, the big nominees for the awards are Netflix and HBO Max, which tied for the number of nominations: there were 14 for each streaming service. Who will be the big winner of the night anyway?
